RRB Beverage Operating Company Joins FTZ #277 in the West Valley
The Greater Maricopa FTZ Inc. announced today that RRB Beverage Operating Inc. a Delaware company has finalized its decision to locate its new Glendale Facility within FTZ #277 in the United States. RRB Beverage will bring over 700,000 square feet of factory, distribution and office space for their new multi-million dollar can filling operation to Glendale, Arizona, close to the city of Phoenix.
The long-term partners Rauch, Red Bull and Ball Corporation are in ongoing discussion regarding the joint operation of the new plant. This may be the first ever USA operation of these partners, which will result in “import displacement” of tens of thousands of import containers each year.
The facility is planned to become fully operational by 2021 and will employ over 120 full-time, high wage citizens of Maricopa County when fully ramped up. Total investment will exceed $250 Million over the full five years of construction and ramp-up to full production. Chairwoman McCarthy said; “We are so excited to be a part of what Rauch, Red Bull and Ball are planning here in the West Valley. Their needs included a secure water source, reliance on the FTZ for tariff balancing in this time of turmoil and the Woolf Logistics Center, becoming a Magnet Site within FTZ #277, proved just the perfect combination. We welcome RRB Beverage to our West Valley Zone!”
With this step, Red Bull responds to its growing North American demand and is happy to continue the successful 32-year long collaboration with its partners. RRB Beverage selected IMS Worldwide Inc. to assist them in securing the FTZ status, get the site activated with US Customs and secure the manufacturing/activity permit.
