History of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 277

On December 22, 2010 the Foreign-Trade Zones Board issued a Grant of Authority under Board Order No. 1733 to establish Foreign-Trade Zone {FTZ or Zone) No. 277 to serve Western Maricopa County and designated GMFTZ as the Grantee of the Zone.

On May 26, 2010, the Application to reorganize the Zone No. 277 project under the Alternative Site Framework (ASF) was formally filed with the FTZ Board under (Docket #36-2011) . This Application to restructure the Zone project under the new ASF format was filed by the Grantee to provide prospective Zone users within FTZ No. 277 with a faster more efficient Application approval process. This Application was approved by the FTZ Board under Board Order No. 1804 on December 16, 2011.
